For the past twenty years, PACOTECH™ has been a pioneer and industry leader in the introduction and advancement of configuration management to the A/E/C industry. Our configuration management methodology consists of four distinct core processes: Baseline Management; Change Management; Cost Management; and Document Management. PACOTECH™ has successfully implemented this methodology on numerous high profile projects, both domestic and international, and it has proven to successfully mitigated the impact that design and construction contract changes have on schedule slippage, cost overruns, claims and litigation. As a matter of fact, our methodology and companion software system, ccsNet™, has received a National Lessons Learned Program Certification from the Federal Transportation Administration (FTA). Our industry-leading software ccsNet™ demonstrates our motto: Innovations in Project Delivery™.

As part of our commitment to expanding our methodology to the academic community we have established formal collaborative agreements with several universities including Rutgers University’s Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) in New Jersey. Rutgers and PACOTECH™ are jointly working together to advance the introduction and awareness of the benefits of Configuration Management to the transportation and infrastructure industry. Our joint research has lead us to develop applications based on Data Analytics which allow us to apply algorithms to predict cost and schedule overruns based on text mining and sentiment analysis of a project’s records and documents. Additionally, we are also able to perform Data Analytics to preventive maintenance records in order to identify lessons learned and lifecycle improvements opportunities. and conferences. Additionally, our Configuration Management. Furthermore, Rutgers has adopted our methodology and software system, ccsNet, as standard tools used as part of the coursework in the graduate and undergraduate engineering curriculum.
