MIC/MIA Connector (MIA Mover)

PACOTECH™ provided Configuration Management, Scheduling, Cost Control, Quality Assurance / Quality Control and Value Engineering services for the MIC/MIA Connector Automated Guideway Transit (AGT) System, renamed to the simple ‘Miami Mover’, that transports air passengers, and employees between the Miami International Airport (MIA) area and the Miami Intermodal Center (MIC).

The MIC was planned to serve as a ground transportation center for MIA and thereby relieve traffic congestion within the terminal area. At the conclusion of the five-year development program, rental car and hotel shuttle buses, regional transit buses, and inter-city buses, which currently pick-up and drop-off passengers, were able to rent and check-in cars at a new consolidated rental car facility at MIA as well as transfer to the regional commuter rail system from parking garages that include park and ride facilities
